How do we know if what we are doing is correct? One indication our practice is deepening is when at first the posture goes quiet. This quiet has a vibrant quality and fullness to it, and is unmistakably, soft, clear and gentle. The posture going quiet is an indication our practice is now producing change, indicating old barnacles have been slowly and sometimes painfully stripped away and we are beginning to soften, deepen and open internally.
Our posture becoming quiet is dependent upon on number of factors not least, is that the timing of every aspect of our postural movements and breath have through unforced consistent practice and examination merged and harmonised both internally and externally. This quietness, pervades and resonates deeply throughout every minuscule corner of our form leading to transformation. - John Hartley (man with empty cup) Comments are closed.
